The Cruise
Ship
MS Deutschland
INTRODUCING
A GRAND HOTEL
If you enjoy luxury and
personalized service, we have something wonderful for you. At a time when
new ships are carrying thousands of passengers at once, when endless corridors
stretch as far as the eye can see, when neon masquerades as glamour, we
offer you a "Grand Hotel" reminiscent of the golden era of cruise travel.
We offer you MS Deutschland, dedicated to your comfort, pleasure and complete
satisfaction.
The MS Deutschland is a true
ocean liner, newly constructed in 1998 to accommodate only 513 guests.
She is exquisitely appointed and graciously designed to facilitate relaxation
and ease. This vessel reintroduces the elaborate crystal chandelier, the
imperial ballroom, loom chairs in a palm filled winter garden, fine antiques
and original works of art. The decor of our "Grand Hotel" evokes the splendor
of the Edwardian period and the Roaring Twenties through the use of brass,
marble, tiffany ceilings and resplendent upholstery in the lounges. Beautifully
appointed staterooms, an elegant Roman Spa, wide promenades and lots of
teak complete the setting.
MS Deutschland has been created
primarily for the Northern European traveler. However, discriminating individuals
from around the world are invited to enjoy her gracious ambiance as well.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
FIVE
STAR LIVING
From
the moment you step into the magnificent foyer, you will be dazzled with
a sense of spaciousness and freedom. Recall the casual elegance of a "Grand
Hotel" from a bygone era as you enjoy a generous array of salons, restaurants,
cinema, library, shops, swimming pools, bars, lounges, fitness facilities
with sauna, steam room and more. There are places onboard to suit your
every mood. But living in luxurious surroundings wouldn't be enough without
the service to go with it.
MS Deutschland provides more
than one crew-member for every two passengers to ensure that you are the
center of attention. Each crew-member shares a common goal: to make certain
that your voyage is exceptional in every aspect. Five-star living. Five-star
luxury.
SPLENDOR
AT SEA
Leisurely days at sea are
the essence of a grand ocean voyage. The seemingly endless sea creates
a peace of mind and the ultimate sense of relaxation. Such days offer the
perfect opportunities to enjoy the kaleidoscope of activities available
aboard our "Grand Hotel", MS Deutschland.
You'll discover that the
Lido Deck is an outstanding vantage point to follow the horizon. Notice
how the sky slips slowly into the sea as you relax at the Lido Bar. Perfect
your seaside snooze on beautiful teak decks outfitted with the finest teak
chairs. Work on your tan or seek out a shady spot under yellow canvas awnings.
The choice is yours. From here, you'll find easy access to the Lido Restaurant,
Lido Terrace and the Pool Bar so you don't have to walk through your floating
hotel to have a casual lunch or to read a book indoors. There's even a
saltwater swimming pool sheltered by a glazed promenade inviting you to
take a dip. An abundance of oversized towels will be waiting for you at
the pool side. And remember to return to the Lido Deck after dark. No evening
at sea is complete without a moonlit stroll on deck.
As an alternative to the
great outdoors, you might prefer to enjoy a broad assortment of indoor
activities including boutique shopping, a visit to the beauty salon, library
or our fitness center. It features a sumptuous indoor pool styled like
a Roman Bath. A sauna with sea views is also located here as well as a
steam bath and sun beds for your ultimate relaxation. Partake of some or
all of these daily options. It's the ultimate feeling of well-being.
SUMPTUOUS
DINING
Gourmet
dining has always been the hallmark of a grand journey at sea. So it is
with our "Grand Hotel". Our distinguished chefs begin with the finest ingredients
the world has to offer. Our stewards grace your table with fine crystal
glassware, porcelain china and silver cutlery. Every attempt is made to
provide you with a true culinary feast each evening. You'll enjoy highly
personalized service in your choice of tastefully designed restaurants.
And to complement your dinner, you'll have a choice of outstanding vintages
served by an expert wine steward. They're certain to please even the most
discerning of palates.
The Berlin Restaurant is
the main dining salon offering a choice of main or late seating. Designed
in art deco style, it offers meals up to seven courses including local
specialties from countries visited en-route. One deck above is the intimate
Four Seasons Restaurant. An a la carte menu is offered daily, by reservation
only. It is open to all and there is no additional charge to dine here.
Lastly, for the times you prefer to dine informally, there is the Lido
Restaurant. Here, you'll be treated to a magnificent buffet. Here, seating
is open at all meals for your convenience and dining pleasure.
Whichever restaurant you
choose, dining will be an outstanding affair. You can be assured of the
finest cuisine prepared by our imaginative chefs and beautifully presented
to make each meal a truly memorable experience
EXQUISITE
NIGHTLIFE
Some
say you haven't really lived until you've experienced a sunset at sea.
But after the sun sheds its warmth, the best is yet to come. Evenings onboard
MS Deutschland are punctuated with a choice of wonderful night spots. Our
"Grand Hotel" is distinguished by its glorious Emperors' Ballroom with
a magnificent chandelier and plush ruby-red velvet decor. This lounge is
center stage for your evening of entertainment. Enjoy a concert, stage
show or traditional ballroom dancing.
The elegant Lili Marleen
Salon offers an intimate meeting place. A piano or trio unobtrusively entertains
while you relax in the comfort of a chic lounge.
Enjoy a draught beer in the
Old Fritz Pub. This darkly paneled room is a cozy setting sporting comfortable
leather tub chairs. Or revel in the lighter ambiance of the sparkling Lido
Terrace Bar. Either place is ideal for an after-dinner drink or to enjoy
a sip of champagne to celebrate a wonderful occasion.

MV
Cézanne
MV Cézanne was built
in 1993 and refurbished in 2003. The deluxe vessel can accommodate 100
passengers in 50 cabins. Original works of art can be found throughout.
All cabins are beautifully furnished and feature full length window
for upper deck cabins or 3 large portholes for all lower deck cabins. Built-in
closets, desk, shower and toilet, telephone, audio entertainment center
and color TV are in each cabin. Hairdryer and terry robes are available
upon request. Bedding is European style duvets with feather pillows and
eiderdowns (synthetic materials available upon request).
The
vessel features six meals daily (Breakfast, Morning Bouillon, Lunch, Afternoon
Tea, Dinner and Midnight Snack). All meals are single seating with evening
meals up to nine courses on selected nights. Additionally, there is a lounge,
bar, gift shop, beauty salon, library, laundry, safe deposit boxes as well
as an infirmary with a qualified doctor on board. The Sun deck offers plenty
of deck chairs and blankets, if needed. There are also conference facilities
on board. Captain's Welcome and Captain's Farewell Receptions are provided
as well as nightly entertainment and dancing. There is one crew member
for every 2.5 passengers providing about the best crew to passenger ratio
or any river vessel. This allows for a high level of service as well as
sumptuous meals, served course by course for the evening dinner. English
language announcements, menus and daily programs are provided.
