Day 1:
USA or Canada / Santiago, Chile Depart by
overnight flight to Chile’s oldest city and capital, Santiago, set in a
ring of spectacular mountain peaks. In Flight
Day 2: Santiago Upon arrival,
there is time to relax in your hotel before meeting fellow travellers from
A&K’s Wonders of Peru program. Later, city sightseeing includes a tour
of the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, led by its curator, and sampling wines
in the company of a sommelier before a welcome dinner.

Day 3: Santiago Tour the Maipo
Valley wine district, visiting Chile’s most famous and oldest wine-producing
institutions. Return to Santiago this evening for dinner at a select choice
of restaurants along Borderio Boulevard.

/ Bariloche, Argentina After a short
flight, arrive in the Swiss-style resort village of Bariloche for an orientation
tour, then continue to your resort hotel.

cruise on Nahuel Huapi Lake, stopping at Isla Victoria and the Bosque de
Arrayanes. Later, disembark for a short tour of Bariloche’s most scenic

provide an insider’s look into the rearing and training of its horses and

flight to Iguassu Falls where you tour the Argentine side, then cross into
Brazil to reach your hotel.

Brazilian side of the Falls then board a flight to Rio de Janeiro, arriving

Corcovado (Hunchback) Mountain, crowned by Rio’s landmark statue of Christ

Connoisseurs travel is A&K's
most fully supported escorted option. Group sizes are very small: never
more than 24 travellers and often limited to 18 or 20. You'll stay in the

to explore on your own, you'll spend much of your sightseeing time with
your guide, on excursions designed to present a full and balanced picture
of your destination.

Geoffrey Kent, who along with Jorie
