Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile, including stays in Rio de
Janeiro, Iguassu Falls, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, and Santiago.
On this tour, you’ll see some amazing scenery and natural wonders.
Start with Iguassu Falls, located on the border of Brazil and
Argentina. See the falls from both sides—with their thunderous roar,
torrential downpour, and brilliant rainbows. Everywhere you look, there
is water pouring down! Words cannot describe the sheer wonder of the
falls! But that’s not all…even more beauty awaits you in Bariloche,
which boasts some of Argentina’s most glorious scenery. Take a

top 10 viewing spots by National Geographic. Experience breathtaking
panoramic views and breathe fresh mountain air.
In addition to beautiful scenery, you’ll also experience the vibrant

sightseeing tour in each city. A highlight of any trip to Rio is the
Christ the Redeemer statue, the 98-foot statue of Jesus that was
elected a New Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll take a scenic cog
railway to its top, where you can admire 360-degree views of the city.
In Buenos Aires, stroll the streets of this friendly town and

Welcome
to South America’s largest and most populous country. Rooms are ready
for immediate check-in so you can refresh. The balance of your day is
free. Tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow traveling companions
for a drive along famous Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches. Here, you will

and ascend by cable car to its summit, where you can savor spectacular
vistas of the city. Cap off the day with a welcome dinner this evening.
(Dinner)
Today,
visit the statue of Christ the Redeemer crowning CORCOVADO MOUNTAIN, a
rounded peak rising 2,300 feet from the bay below. Take the scenic cog
railway ride to its top, where a 360-degree panorama affords sweeping
views. Proceed to bustling downtown Rio. View the Sambodromo and visit
the CATHEDRAL. This evening, it’s off to a CHURRASCARIA for a feast of
barbecued meats marinated and roasted over charcoal in true Brazilian
style. Later, experience a SAMBA SHOW, where the sheer vitality of this
country explodes in a colorful extravaganza. (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 4Rio
de Janeiro
A day of
leisure or you may wish to enjoy a Guanabara Bay cruise, offering

Emperor Dom Pedro II and now a mountain resort. (Breakfast)
DAY 5Rio
de Janeiro
This
morning, try an optional Jeep tour to the Botanical Garden with its
orchid exhibit, and Tijuca National Park to view native flora and
fauna. Spend an evening at leisure. (Breakfast)
A flight
from Rio takes you to IGUASSU FALLS. Experience the clouds of spray,
the incessant roar, and the surrounding luxuriant tropical growth that
make this an unforgettable natural wonder. Spend the afternoon enjoying
the magnificent panorama of waterfalls from the Brazilian side. Your
Local Guide introduces the spectacle of this 2-mile-wide torrential
downpour, with some cataracts as high as 250 feet, which is nothing
short of hypnotic. (Breakfast, Dinner)

rosebush-lined streets of this lakeside resort. (Breakfast, Lunch,
Dinner)
Your
morning tour of the nearby seaport of Puerto Montt in Chilean Patagonia
takes you to the harbor brimming with fishing vessels and along a busy
waterfront lined with seafood stalls. Transfer to the airport for your
flight north to Santiago. Perched between the Pacific Ocean and the
Andes, Santiago has evolved as the country’s political, commercial, and
cultural capital. Tonight, dinner is at the hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)

About
Globus
More than
75 years ago, Antonio Mantegazza bought a rowboat to transport
commercial
goods across Lake Lugano in Switzerland. Who could know that rowboat
would
launch the world's leading escorted travel company? Today Globus is a
global,
family-owned company reaching every corner of the world. Globus is now
the first choice among individuals looking for vacations with both
domestic
and international travel in a variety of styles to six continents and
hundreds
of itineraries to choose from.
Antonio's frequent
trips across the scenic lake led him to consider opportunities in a
different
market - tourism. His entrepreneurial instinct pushed him to gradually
acquire some motorcoaches to transport tourists around the Lake Lugano
area. In 1928, Antonio opened a company specializing in motorcoach
touring
called Globus Viaggi. The company began with a fleet of 12 coaches
which
operated local excursions for European tourists in Switzerland.
By 1950, Globus
Viaggi had grown to a fleet of 33 coaches and featured overnight
excursions
to Rome, Venice, the Dolomites and the French Riviera. Gradually, these
became regularly scheduled tours and grew longer to cover more ground.
Later that decade, under the leadership of Werner Albek, Antonio's
business
partner, Globus pioneered the concept of Grand European Touring by
offering
first-class European tours to North Americans. By 1961, the company
launched
its Cosmos arm, which featured affordable, value-priced European
touring
for the cost-conscious British traveler.
The coach tours
were so successful that Cosmos soon introduced another form of travel
for
the British market: air holiday packages to the sunny destinations of
southern
Europe. By 1968, Cosmos air holidays became so popular the company
formed
its own airline, Monarch Airlines. Monarch Airlines started out
modestly
with two used Britannia aircraft and eventually blossomed into one of
the
most successful European charter companies with a large fleet of modern
jets and its own engineering division.
Under the flagship
of Sergio Mantegazza, current president and son of Antonio, Globus
began
expanding its markets beyond Great Britain and North America. Since
1974,
travel packages have been sold in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and
most
recently in Southeast Asia. Starting in the 70s, the company also
aggressively
expanded its offerings, introducing travelers to more countries than
any
other tour operator with packages to Africa, South and North America,
Europe,
the South Pacific and Asia.
Today, the
Globus family of brands is marketed and operated by a network of more
than
32 independent tourism and aviation businesses, serviced by a group of
more than 5,000 professionals worldwide. Combined, Globus, Cosmos, and
Monograms carry over 500,000 passengers a year, making the organization
the leading operator of guided vacations worldwide. Globus attributes
its
success to the ideals of founder Antonio Mantegazza. For three
generations,
his vision, hard work, love for travel, and commitment have guided the
company. These values are the cornerstone on which Globus was built and
will continue to grow.
