The
Best of Thailand!
Highlights
of Thailand is designed with the time-pressed traveller in mind: the business
person who would also like to do a little sightseeing, the vacation traveller
who wants to add Thailand to another journey in the Orient, or the holiday-maker
who simply wants a short getaway. This tour offers the highlights of an
ancient and beautiful land on a comfortable trip of just eleven days, with
transportation ranging from rickshaw to bamboo raft.
Though
brief, Highlights of Thailand takes no short cuts in either comfort or
content. From the moment your plane lands in Bangkok, you will be impressed
by the peace and dignity of this Buddhist culture. Visit the famed "Golden
Triangle" at Chiang Rai, explore Thailand's 'last frontier' at Mae Hong
Son, discover the ancient walled city of Chiang Mai, tour hilltribe villages
and
wander through verdant upcountry forests. Your journey ends with a return
to Bangkok.
Most
tours connect to Highlights of Burma. Prefer to travel on your own? You
can take this itinerary as a private independent tour, as shown above or
with your own personal alterations. Add A Destination: Not quite ready
to end your holiday? We suggest you continue on our Highlights of Burma
or a relaxing visit to Chiva Som. A&K can help you plan your own extension,
"tailor-made" as you require.

GRAND
Indochina!
Vietnam
and Cambodia are just beginning a remarkable transition, from bucolic ex-colonial
nations to graceful players on the world stage in their own right. Images
of Indochina has proven popular with travellers who want to watch that
engaging process in action, as well as enjoy the lush natural beauties
and staunchly maintained folkways of these exotic lands.
After
a short stay in Hong Kong, travel to Vietnam's capital, charming Hanoi,
a garden city of wide boulevards and tempting cafes and restaurants. Then
travel on to ancient Hue, Danang and thriving Ho Chi Minh City (once known
as Saigon) before crossing the border to Cambodia. Here your next stop
is Siem Reap, where the glory of Cambodia's rich heritage is clearly visible
with the timeless majesty of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, monuments to the
once-mighty Khmer Empire. Bangkok is the last stop, where you enjoy sightseeing
in the glittering "City of Angels" before a memorable farewell dinner ends
your itinerary. An optional extension continues to Vientiane and Luang
Prabang in Laos.
Prefer
to travel on your own? You can take this itinerary as a private independent
tour, as shown above or with your own personal alterations. Add A Destination:
Not quite ready to end your holiday? We suggest our extension to fascinating
Japan or a few relaxing days in Chiva Som. A&K can help you plan your
own extension, "tailor-made" as you require.
