TRANSPORTATION - Your rides here. And its included.
On a Monograms vacation, we believe the adventure is in the
sightseeing, not the drama of getting from Point A to Point B. Whether
it's flight arrangements, transfers from the airport to your hotel,
sightseeing, or traveling between cities, we take care of your
transportation needs and can include it in your package price. No
hailing cabs in a foreign language. No holding up the line confused at
the subway station. We pick you up. And drop you right where you want
to be.
Included Hotels
Vacations to Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and
Africa include breakfast. Breakfast is a buffet (B) and is listed on
each itinerary page. In North America we do not include breakfast. Your
Local Host® can assist in recommending local favorites or you can
simply explore on your own!
Dining in Style
In general, lunches and dinners are not included in your Monograms
vacation. Your Local Host® will have a number of suggestions for
dining—after all, one of the best ways to learn about other cultures is
to eat like the locals do!
On some travel days in remote regions, on cruises, and at some resorts
we include lunches and dinners. Please check the included section on
the vacation page for a list.
Unlike an airline, we cannot process requests for special meals. While
some hotels and restaurants may be able to provide for a special diet,
such as vegetarian or salt-free food, there is no way for us to
guarantee this. Special food usually costs extra. Please ask your Local
Host® for assistance
Add Flights To Your
Vacation
Let Monograms book the flight that will perfectly coordinate with your
travel package—at a price that fits your vacation plans. Monograms has
joined with airline partners to offer you low roundtrip airfares that
coincide with your Monograms vacation. Upgrade to Business Class for
even more comfort. No need to waste time searching the Internet for the
lowest airfare—one call to Monograms does it all. Another benefit of
booking your Monograms vacation air-inclusive is that the transfers to
and from the airport to your start and end hotels are included.
Airport Transfers
If you have purchased an air-inclusive vacation (on published dates),
arrival and departure transfers are included. When you touch down in
your destination, we’ll get you to your hotel; then, at the end of your
vacation, we’ll make sure to get you to the airport for your return
flight home. If you reserve a land-only Monograms vacation, you can
still purchase arrival and departure transfers. Transfers are by
scheduled shuttle, minivan, private cars, or taxi.

Our Air-Inclusive Prices Provide Exceptional Value
Because of our longstanding relationships with major air carriers, our
air-inclusive prices provide exceptional value. These prices are
considerably lower than what you would pay if you booked your land
arrangements and unrestricted air transportation separately.
Airfares
We offer low airfares for all of the destinations in this brochure from
cities across the U.S. Call our Travel Consultants for information. Ask
about Premium Economy and Business Class upgrades (excludes North
America vacations).
Various domestic and international taxes and fees are not included in
the vacation price. These taxes and fees will be added to your
air-inclusive invoice as a single, per person charge. Taxes and fees
are subject to change without notice and will be quoted at time of
booking (please see the “Applicable Airfare Taxes & Fees” section
that follows). Please be advised that electronic tickets will be issued
for the majority of air itineraries.
Please retain your ticket copy and boarding passes in the event you
need them later for proof of your flights (to accumulate frequent flyer
miles, for example). We are unable to supply ticket copies after your
return.
Guaranteed
Air-Inclusive Prices
An additional $250 non-refundable deposit is required for air booked in
conjunction with any land vacation (i.e., air-inclusive vacation).
However, once your airfare is confirmed and Monograms has received your
full air and land deposit, your air-inclusive vacation price is
guaranteed. Air is only available to passengers traveling from the
United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land
vacation.
Monograms reserves the right to ticket passengers upon receipt of full
land and air deposit thus any subsequent changes and/or revisions to
airline reservations at your request after receipt of full land and air
deposit are subject to revision fees and/or airline imposed change or
cancellation fees. Generally, these fees are up to $250 but in some
instances may be up to 100% of the ticketed price. Please ask if any
such charges apply before making changes, as all changes at your
request are payable by you.
We Also Accept Your Reservation on a Land-Only Basis
Although our air-inclusive pricing offers superb value, we still want
to give you freedom of choice. You may purchase our vacation packages
on a land-only basis.
Free Airport
Transfers
When you book your Monograms vacation air-inclusive, the transfers from
the airport to your start hotel and from your end hotel to the airport
are included. Details are as follows:
Air-inclusive on
published dates:
◦Europe, South America, Asia, South Pacific, and Africa – Transfers are
included
◦North America – Transfers are included on Single-City Getaways,
Multi-City Getaways, and Rail Getaways
Air-inclusive on non-published dates:
◦Europe – Transfers are available for purchase when you book extra
nights with Monograms before or after your vacation
◦Asia, South America, South Pacific, and Africa – Transfers are
included
◦North America – Transfers are included on Single-City Getaways,
Multi-City Getaways, and Rail Getaways
Land-only clients who make their own air arrangements on regularly
scheduled direct flights (but not chartered flights) may also purchase
arrival and departure transfers. In South America, arrival and
departure transfers are included for land-only clients.
Flight details should be sent apart from other correspondence or
payment and must be received no later than five weeks prior to
departure.
Transfers will be provided only if confirmed by Monograms. Look for
confirmation of your transfer in the travel documents.
Taxes & Fees
Taxes and fees are subject to change and are not guranteed until land
and air deposit are received.

Taxes & Fees
Air-inclusive prices do not include a September 11th Security Fee of up
to $10, passenger facility charges of up to $18, Federal domestic
flight segment fees of up to $3.50 per segment, and U.S. and
International arrival and departure and other government imposed fees
of up to $200-$375, depending on your itinerary. Your final
air-inclusive vacation price for departures in this brochure is not
guaranteed until your air schedule has been confirmed and your full air
and land deposit have been received by Monograms.

of Travel Protection
Globus has
provided a $10 million letter of credit* issued by a leading bank to
protect
payments made by its customers for all 2005 vacation departures sold in
the United States. "In these uncertain times, we feel it is important
to
assure our customers and our travel partners that we are financially
secure
and that we back our products 100 percent," said Phillip Gordon, chief
executive officer and president. This is in addition to the $1 million
traveler's assistance program maintained by the United States Tour
Operators
Association (USTOA) in favor of Globus travelers.
*The $10 million
letter of credit has been issued by Credit Suisse S.A. in favor of
PRO-CLAIM,
INC. of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, acting as trustee of a trust for the
benefit of Globus and Cosmos customers who advance deposits or payments
for any Globus or Cosmos tour departure sold in the United States.
PRO-CLAIM
INC., as trustee of the trust, is responsible for refunding deposits or
payments (excluding deposits or payments made by credit cards, since
chargebacks
are available), for Globus and Cosmos tours sold in the United States
in
the event Group Voyagers Inc., d/b/a Globus and Cosmos, becomes
insolvent,
bankrupt or ceases business.

Travel Protection

your annual vacation, or the vacation of a lifetime. Either way you

want to think about canceling or interrupting your trip. Or getting
sick.
Or losing your luggage. We know these things can happen and we provide
travelers peace of mind with a Travel Protection Plan. The plan costs
from
$79-$249 per person (depending on the vacation destination and price)
and
offers a wide range of benefits. Ask your travel agent for the details,

Please
note
that the Czech Republic now requires a minimum of $35,000 medical and
repatriation
insurance coverage. Our basic Travel Protection policy has a $25,000
limit,
however will be increased to $35,000 while in the Czech Republic in
order
to meet Czech Republic requirements. There is no additional cost for
this
extra coverage. If you choose to purchase insurance independently,
please
know that the you may be required by immigration to produce proof of
coverage
while traveling in the Czech Republic.
Travel
Protection Plus
(Cancellation Protection)
If you purchase
the Globus family of brands Travel Protection Plan, you may also
purchase
the optional Globus family of brands Travel Protection Plus Plan at an
additional cost of only $30.00 per person. This additional Benefit* (if
purchased) allows you to cancel your vacation up to 24 hours (or the
prior
business day, whichever is farther out) before your scheduled departure
for any reason not covered by the basic Travel Protection Plan
provisions.
Under this Travel Protection Plus Plan Benefit, Globus family of brands
will reimburse the cancellation penalty amount, as retained by the
Globus
family of brands, in travel certificates, minus the insurance premium.
Plus, now Travel Protection Plus extends your basic Travel Protection
Plan
benefits to include coverage of air penalties or change fees on air
purchased
outside of the Globus family of brands, when canceling for a reason
covered
by your basic Travel Protection Plan.
*The Travel
Protection Plus Plan is provided by Globus family of brands and is not
an insurance benefit and must be purchased with the initial payment for
your Trip.
