overnight flight to Rome, “The Eternal City.”
Day 2: Arrive

You arrive in Rome today. This evening,
join your fellow travelers for a special welcome dinner at a popular
local restaurant featuring regional delicacies and fine Italian wines.

Day 3: Rome
 This morning it’s your choice! Perhaps a
trip to Vatican City, with an optional tour to the Vatican Museums and
St. Peter's Basilica* will be on your personal sightseeing list. This afternoon, enjoy a locally guided
panoramic tour of Rome featuring the impressive Piazza Venezia, the
Circus Maximus, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine and the famous
Trevi Fountain.

Day 4: Rome - Assisi - Perugia
Today enjoy a full day of sightseeing
complete with a short lesson on the local language. Travel to Assisi,
birthplace of St. Francis. Take a guided walking tour of the old city,
including the Basilica of St. Francis. Then you are off to medieval
Perugia, the historic capital of Umbria. Behold one of the grandest
squares in Italy, the Piazza IV Novembre, and delight in the medieval
palaces and ornate cathedrals.

Day 5: Perugia - Siena - Florence
A scenic journey through Tuscany’s
graceful low-lying hills brings you to the mystical city of Siena. You
will be delighted by its narrow Gothic streets, magnificent palaces and
historic Piazza del Campo. After a walking tour with a local expert,
take some time to explore the medieval corners of Siena with its great
shops and outdoor cafes. En route to Florence, visit a family-owned
leather shop and learn the traditional Italian techniques of leather
making.

Day 6: Florence
In Florence, the
“Cradle of Italian Renaissance,” visit the world-famous Academy Gallery
to see Michelangelo’s incredible Statue of David. During your cultural
tour of Florence, you'll also view the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del
Fiore, the Palazzo Vecchio, and the Church of Santa Croce, burial place
of Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli. The remainder of the day is
at leisure to enjoy this fascinating city on your own.

Day 7: Florence - Venice
 Start your day with a trip to a historic
winery in the heart of the Chianti region with its very own 12th
century castle. Learn about Tuscany’s famous wines and enjoy a lunch
filled with local specialties. This afternoon, journey through central
Italy, crossing over the wooded Apennine Mountains toward the Valley of
the Po. Enchanting Venice awaits with 117 tiny islands and its
latticework of 150 canals and 400 bridges.

Day 8: Venice - Murano Island - Venice
Your day begins with a boat trip*
(weather permitting) to Murano Island for an up-close glass making
demonstration. Next, return to Venice and visit charming St. Mark’s

expert will guide you on a walking tour of the area featuring St.
Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, and the Clock
Tower with its famous Moors.

Today you travel to

picturesque Italian Lake district. Cross into Switzerland and the

excellent shopping opportunities. Returning to Italy, spend time in the
elegant town of Como. Lake Como’s charm is tied to its beautiful
villas, lush gardens and spectacular views. Continue to Milan Malpensa

The Vatican Museums and St. Peter's
Basilica $80
City: Rome
The Vatican Museums are not only home to
one of the world’s greatest collections of art, but also to the
world-famous Sistine Chapel. Priceless artifacts from ancient Egypt,
Etruscan Italy and cultures around the world are preserved in the
Vatican’s palaces, galleries, halls and rooms. Follow a local expert
guide on a three hour, in-depth visit through this vast collection.
Highlights include the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, and
of course, a visit to the Sistine Chapel. The chapel’s famous ceiling
frescoes took Michelangelo four years to complete. His brilliant Last
Judgment, which rests on the altar wall, was a topic of controversy for
centuries. Other walls feature paintings by Pietro Perugino, Sandro
Botticelli, Cosimo Rosselli and Domenico Ghirlandaio. Your final stop
will be at St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the most important churches in
Christendom, and until recently, the largest in the world.

the fjord-like jewel of Northern Italy. Elegant villas, vineyards and

glacially-carved valley as your guide introduces you to Como’s sights
and lore. This is a locale where rugged peaks ring the deep blue water;
lakeside villages perch at the water’s edge; and olive, chestnut and
walnut groves cover the gentle slopes. It’s an experience sure to be

Serenaded Gondola Cruise $75

found in Venice – La Serenìssima – while traveling on its famous
waterways, when you partake in one of Venice’s most famous pastimes – a
gondola cruise. Take a pleasant stroll toward the Grand Canal to board
your gondola. As you relax in your elegant watercraft, your gondolier
navigates the Grand Canal as well as smaller side canals. Sip on a
glass of local Prosecco as you listen to the melodic voice serenading

What exactly is your cancellation waiver?
We have the best
cancellation waiver in the industry-period. You can cancel your trip up
until the day prior to departure for any reason - sickness, change of
heart or any reason whatsoever-and you will receive a full refund,
minus the small cost of the insurance. That's a cash refund, not a
voucher or certificate. There's no risk when you book with Collette.
But isn't it
expensive?
Not at all! Let's
say you were planning to take our Italian Vistas tour for 13 days. The
land-only waiver is just $170 per person. That breaks down to about
$13.07 a day-just a little over eight euros! The land and air waiver is
only $30 more. That's airplane peanuts compared to the peace of mind
you'll enjoy.
Plus, you're
covered on tour.
Our cancellation
waiver and insurance plan covers you on tour. If you have to stop your
trip or return home early, need medical assistance or evacuation,
suffer a baggage loss or delay; or are delayed on tour for 12 hours or
more, you're covered.

WAIVER & INSURANCE PLAN |
Exception: If
you originally purchased
non-refundable airline tickets, the Waiver does not provide a refund
for the airline tickets, taxes or fees in the event of a cancellation
or a return transportation benefit if you must return home early. The
air waiver does not cover medical evacuation or additional expenses
associated with a medical emergency.
The Waiver Fee does not cover any single supplement charges which arise
from an individual’s traveling companion electing to cancel for any
reason prior to departure. In this case, the single supplement will be
deducted from the refund of the person who cancels. Division of this
charge between the two passengers involved is solely their
responsibility. If insufficient funds are deducted from the canceling
client, the traveling client will be charged the remaining portion of
the single supplement.
Payment of the Waiver Fee (if chosen) must be received by Collette
Vacations with your Deposit. The Waiver is non-transferable and valid
for each applicant only.
Collette Vacations can assume no responsibility for and cannot be held
liable for any wrongful, negligent or unauthorized acts or omissions of
any travel agent or travel agency other than that of Collette Travel
Service, Inc. itself, and its own employees.

PART B CONDITIONS &
LIMITATIONS Certain exclusions and limitations apply and are
detailed in the Certificate of Coverage. For example, coverage does not
apply to: any sickness or condition of you, a Traveling Companion or an
Immediate Family Member traveling with you that existed during the 60
days prior to the effective date of the coverages (this exclusion is
waived if your plan payment is received by Collette Vacations within 7
days of your initial deposit/payment for your trip and you are not
disabled from travel at the time your plan payment is received),
suicide, normal pregnancy, war or any act of war, mental or nervous
disorders. A Traveling Companion is defined as a person booked to share
accommodations in the same room with you during your trip. Sickness or
injury must require care by a Physician and must commence while the
Travel Protection Plan is in effect for you. This plan does not cover a
loss that results from an illness, disease, or other condition (of you,
an Immediate Family Member, Traveling Companion or Business Partner),
event or circumstance which occurs at a time when this plan is not in
effect for you.
