Safari!
This is a classic tented safari in the great game parks of northern
Tanzania, yours to enjoy in a style that, until recently, only such
adventurers as Ernest Hemingway, Robert Ruark and Teddy Roosevelt had
known. Tents, furniture, water and food, lanterns and all the other
equipment necessary to your comfort in the bush are provided at each
campsite, complemented by a camp staff of the very highest caliber.
On the Tanzania Hemingway Safari, your first camp is in Tarangire
National Park, famous for elephant and indigenous birds. You visit Lake
Manyara National Park, small but rich in wildlife and spend a night at
charming Gibb's Farm. You camp again - this time at a
spectacular location on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, an ancient
volcanic caldera which encloses its own remarkable lost world. The next
three days are spent on the Serengeti Plains, one of the world's great
wildlife spectacles, in the area which hosts one-and-a-half million
wildebeest and one million zebra and gazelle on their Great Migration
in search of life-sustaining grass. Two options in Kenya are available
to prolong the excitement: game viewing in Kenya's fabled Masai Mara
and a stay at the world-renowned Mount Kenya Safari Club. Tanzania
Hemingway can also be combined with Kenya Hemingway for a spectacular
25-day East African safari.
