day with a visit to the private Prasart Museum. After lunch at a local

sights along Bangkok's famous canals, followed by a visit to the Grand
Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha, with lunch at a local restaurant.

first capital of Thailand. After sightseeing and lunch at a local restaurant,

/ Lampang / Mae Hong Son Wat Pra Dhat
Temple in Lampang is today's first stop, followed by a visit to a working
Elephant Camp. Travel onward by road to Chiang Mai for lunch, followed

Hong Son Trek on elephant-back
to a Pa Dawn hill tribe village, followed by a private cruise on the Pai
River to the Myanmar border. Here, after lunch, visit the village of Baan

Day 8: Mae
Hong Son / Chiang Mai After an early-morning
walk through Mae Hong Son's colorful city market and a chance to participate
in the traditional offering of food to local monks, return to your hotel
for a late breakfast before today's flight to Chiang Mai. On arrival, the
afternoon is at leisure, before a visit to Chiang Mai's famous Night Market
- a kaleidoscope of merchants, entertainment and food carts. Four Seasons

Day 9: Chiang
Mai A rickshaw
ride begins the day, followed by a visit to the impressive Wat Doi Suthep,
with its famous viharn (temple library). After a traditional Thai lunch,
visit the local "Weavers for the Environment" workshop with its Thai antiques
and Laotian and Thai textiles, founded in 1986 and run by Patricia Cheesman.

Chiang Mai Visit a local
artisan's workshop, followed by lunch in a local restaurant and an afternoon

Geoffrey Kent, who along with Jorie
